The family members of 11 month old baby Broderick Wright, who was shot and killed allegedly by a policeman's bullet along March Pen Road in St. Catherine last Thursday, will be seeking to retain an attorney to take legal action against the Government.

Though the Office of the Public the Defender is currently investigating the matter the family has decided to obtain representation privately.

This was confirmed by Public Defender Earl Witter who said there was no problem with the family's decision.

In the meantime, Member of Parliament for South Central St. Catherine Sharon Hay-Webster told our newsroom that the family is now focusing an matters relating to the burial of the infant.
Last week baby Broderick was allegedly killed by a policeman, while he was in pursuit of a motor vehicle in the March Pen area in Spanish Town, St. Catherine.

The infant was reportedly in his mother's arms when he was shot.

The policeman has since been suspended as part of a probe being carried out by the Bureau of Special Investigations.
