show is characterized by music and information slots that are useful
for persons engaged in entertainment activities.
Island Vybz depicts the lifestyles, the culture and expressions
of the young, upwardly mobile, informed middle youth of Jamaica. The
programme provides a web-like coverage of the entertainment scene of
Jamaica. It exposes the major events and more importantly go into the
nooks and crannies, off the beaten path to provide space for communal
events, personalities and phenomena.
Island Vybz seeks to answer the questions: what makes us an
Island; what makes us distinct, is it our prowess in sports,
entertainment, heritage, people, language and physical beauty or is it
our VYBZ. What is this VYBZ: is it our walk, our talk, our look, our
fee or OUR ENERGY?
